Cretins!!
I support a team that plies its trade in the lower divisions of the Football League. Along with 98% of League teams we are struggling financially and for bums on seats.
So.... every time there is a midweek game which gives a whole new tranche of people the oppportunity to go to football, because they work/rest/play at the weekend what happens to distract them???

How bloody stupid is that??? Instead of giving the League teams a clear run at a potential audience they have to battle against Wayne and Christiano and Roman and Jose. The wavering fan will settle for an armchair and a tinny instead of watching clogger Hughes and that bright young product of the academy fighting for survival and playing for their teams BECAUSE THEY CARE!!!!
It makes me so angry.. why aren't the Chairmen screaming about it?? Because they have their head where they normally are.. inserted in their bottoms.
Its not rocket science is it??
